Reflexology Week 2016

This week is reflexology week, and so I’m trying out NewMed’s MAS system which has a reflexology setting.
But first things first, what is reflexology? Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy with the theory that different points on the body e.g. feet or hands correspond with different areas of the body, thus by accessing the right pressure points, pain can be soothed and/or alleviated from the corresponding body part.

I am aiming to target the pain in my upper spine; using the diagram provided, to help alleviate my pain I need to access reflexology points in the balls of my feet correspond which with my upper spine.

The MAS uses PEMF therapy to stimulate the reflexology points in my feet and I’ve been recommended to use the system on the reflexology setting for about 30 minutes a day for roughly 4 weeks to see the benefit. What’s more is that using the PEMF therapy will also stimulate cellular repair so while I am using reflexology to relieve my back pain I will also be getting a boost of PEMF therapy to improve my body’s overall performance.

Be sure to check back in 4 weeks to see my progress, but look out for my other posts in the meantime!

Happy reading,

Krissy 🙂
